The new BMW iX3 electric SUV will be produced at the Shenyang plant in China, which is operated by the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture. BMW eDrive components are also manufactured in Shenyang. The energy density of the energy storage system has increased by another 20% compared to the battery cells used so far in BMW electrically powered models. The new BMW iX3 has a range of up to 460 kilometres WLTP. 100 km autonomy can be ensured in 10 minutes of charging at 150 kW (maximum charging power) or in 30 minutes of charging at 50 kW.
